Our client needed a way to showcase their innovative safety hatch system without the cost and hassle of shipping the full-sized unit. They came to us with 2D technical drawings, and we delivered a fully functional, portable scale model.

The Challenge

The client’s product was large, heavy, and permanently installed on-site. Their sales team needed a high-quality, hands-on model that they could easily transport to industry events and stakeholder presentations. The model had to be detailed enough to show the product’s mechanics and durable enough for repeated use. The only materials they had to start with were flat 2D drawings.

The Solution

Our engineering team managed the entire process from concept to a finished, physical product.

1. 2D to 3D CAD Modeling: First, we took the client’s 2D drawings and meticulously reverse-engineered them into a precise, fully detailed 3D CAD model.

2. Digital Scaling & Assembly: We scaled the 3D model down to a portable, demonstration-friendly size, ensuring all parts would still fit and function correctly.

3. High-Detail 3D Printing: We 3D printed each component using durable, engineering-grade materials that would accurately represent the final product’s look and feel.

4. Finishing & Assembly: Our team carefully post-processed, finished, and assembled all the printed parts into a final, functional model, complete with the working safety gate and hatch mechanism.

The Outcome

The client received a lightweight, accurate, and robust scale model of their equipment. Their sales team can now easily pack it in a case and transport it to any industry event or meeting, allowing them to provide a hands-on demonstration that a brochure or video could never match.
